Otto Maja is a visual artist who studied graphic design, and has later on specialized in street art. Maja’s works can be seen from far away, and the recurring themes in his paintings are distinctive characters and strong colors. Maja sees himself as a well-meaning urban crook who wants to use his paintings to remove the negative stigma of street art.
In this artwork, Maja has left the piece lookin slightly unfinished on purpose. The birdhouses appear in Maja’s artwork regularly, and the artist has implied that they reflect the idea that every person has a nest or a home of their own on their shoulders.
