Kera Kollektiivi invites all to spend a culture filled Espoo-day at Keran Hallit!
 
During Espoo-day different kinds of events are organised all day for audiences of all ages. The day kicks off with the mini opera The magic flute. After that you can enjoy an improv theatre performance in the sunshine, join a yoga class, jump in into a roller skate disco or get to know the urban art in the area in guided tours. The brewery shops and restaurant will make sure your hunger is replenished and thrist quenched. The day ends at Lastaamo-stage when the leading names in the punk and rock scene Puhelinseksi and Kynnet will perform.
 
The event is free of charge!
 
11 & 12 and 13 MINI OPERA: THE MAGIC FLUTE
The mini opera casts the familiar classic in a new light with only two singers and musicians. The delightful piece is recommended for everyone over the age of 2.
Duration: 30 minutes.

12 -> COMMUNITY ARTWORK
The recycling theme continues in the community artwork where art will be made from non-recyclable clothing, fabrics and carpet rag. In the workshop everyone can participate in the creation of unique acoustic panels, which are later assembled into a mosaic-like whole, a “rag mural”. You can participate in the workshop until the art works are completed.
 
15-16 & 19-21 FLOWER WORKSHOP BY KUKKIS
Kukkis is a rescue flower shop which utilizes flowers that would otherwise get disposed. In this workshop you have an opportunity to make various decorations wit the help of Kukkis employees. There is enough to do for all skill levels, no previous skills are needed. The workshop is open to everyone as long as there is enough material.
 
13.30 & 16.30 STREET ART TOURS
In these guided tours you get to take a closer look of the urban art on the outer and inner walls of Keran Hallit. The tours begin next to the Tired Uncle’s Taproom terrace in the inner courtyard of the logistics centre. You do not need to pre-register for the tour, just make sure you’re on time for the beginning of the tour. The tours are in Finnish but can be arranged in English as well if needed.
 
13, 15 & 17 BREWERY TOURS
Visit Kera’s brewery village!

There are three breweries at Keran Hallit: Tired Uncle Brewing Company, 8-Bit Brewing and Masis Brewery. All three breweries brew their craft beers at Keran Hallit and they have their own brewery shops in connection with their production facilities.
On Espoo Day, these breweries are arranging tours of three breweries at 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00. The tickets are 30 euros per person and you can buy them at Tired Uncle’s Taproom. The maximum number of persons per tour is 20 people.
 
14 – 15 IMPROV THEATRE PERFORMANCE
Come and enjoy yourself in the courtyard at the Lastaamo-stage as the improv group Lollaattori performs their show “Vahingossa Hauska” (in Finnish)
 
14 –  18 ROLLER SKATE DISCO
Put on your rollerskates and come jam in inside the halls of the logistics centre in the Lähettämö. In the disco you get to skate to the beats played by a live DJ and surrounded by urban art.
 
19.30 PUHELINSEKSI
Puhelinseksi, a melodic punkrock band from Rovaniemi, will start the music performances of the evening at Lastaamo-stage. The band itself describes their music as wistful combination of punkrock and powerpop.
 
21.00 KYNNET
The evening will find it’s spectacular closure when Kynnet performs at Lastaamo-lava. Kynnet has taken over the whole Finland with their lo-fi beats and their spellbinding liveperformances.

The event is accessible, free, and open to all. However, please note that if you arrive by train, Kera station is unfortunately inaccessibly. Keran Hallit can also be reached by bus and by car. For further arrival instructions, see https://www.keranhallit.fi/en/arrival/ .
 
We will follow the official coronavirus guidelines and restrictions and update our info if needed. Please do not join the event if you feel sick or have any coronavirus related symptoms.
 
In addition to music and events, Keran Keidas also has Tired Uncle’s Taproom, a terrace serving different local beers, food, and snacks from 3 PM until 11 PM. Keran Hallit has also three breweries, stores of which can also be visited during the event.
